We are delighted to announce that, for the second year running, David Keegan Garden Design & Landscape Consultancy have won 'Best Garden Designer 2011' in the Northern Design Awards.

David said "It was a particular honour to receive the award this year especially given the very high standards of the other entries and the prestigious panel of Judges which included such industry luminaries as Sir Terence Conran, Diarmuid Gavin and Wayne Hemmingway.

David was presented with his award by one of the judges, the celebrity garden designer and TV personality Diarmuid Gavin.

He received the award for his design project, Thornlea Farm which is set in the High Peaks in Derbyshire in a class-4 area of outstanding natural beauty.

Davids's design relied heavily on the sympathetic use of reclaimed local materials and a garden shed with a green sedum roof lending itself easily to the principles of a low impact and an environmentally friendly project.
